CTOnews.com learned that Lei Jun joined Kingsoft Co., Ltd. in 1992 and held a number of senior positions, including chairman since July 2011, non-executive director since August 2008, and CEO from 1998 to December 2007. Since December 2011, Lei Jun has been a director of Beijing Jinshan Office Software Co., Ltd. Since April 2015, Lei Jun has served as chairman of Jinshan Cloud Holdings Co., Ltd.

In addition, Lei Jun founded Zhuoyue in 2000 and sold it to Amazon in 2004. At the same time, as an angel investor, Lei Jun has invested in YY, UC and other innovative enterprises. At present, Lei Jun is also the executive director, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group.

According to the financial report, Kingsoft's revenue in the third quarter of 2022 was 1.837 billion yuan, an increase of 22 percent over the same period last year; gross profit in the third quarter was 80 percent, with a gross profit of 1.466 billion yuan, up 18 percent over the same period last year; and a net loss of 6.055 billion yuan in the third quarter, compared with a net profit of 565 million yuan in the same period last year.
