According to PassMark, Apple's 12-core M2 Max ranks first in the PassMark notebook single-core performance rankings, followed by the lower-frequency M2 Pro model, followed by Intel 12-generation Core HX processors.

CTOnews.com learned that Intel's 13th-generation Core HX series of game processors will be available in February, with i9-13980HX reaching 5.6GHz, which is expected to surpass M2 Max to become the new top.

According to official data, Apple's latest flagship processor M2 Max chip contains 67 billion transistors, 10 billion more than the M1 Max chip and more than three times that of the M2 chip, boosting the function and performance of the Apple chip. The bandwidth of unified memory is up to 400GB / s, which is 2 times that of M2 Pro chip and 4 times that of M2 chip. It also supports high-speed unified memory up to 96GB.

M2 Max chip is equipped with a new generation of 12-core CPU, which is the same as M2 Pro chip. The GPU is more powerful, with 38 cores and a larger L2 cache. Graphics processing speed is up to 30% faster than M1 Max chips.
