The Federation pointed out that the overall market discount rate of passenger cars in mid-January was about 13.7%, the overall profit level was lower than that of the previous month (14.2%), and the terminal price was recovered. The target of 25 percent penetration of new energy vehicles was achieved three years ahead of schedule.
In 2022, the total volume of retail sales of consumer goods decreased by 0.2% compared with the same period last year, of which automobile consumer goods increased by 0.7% over the same period last year, and demand fundamentals gradually picked up. With the gradual optimization of epidemic prevention and control, the added value of the service industry in 2022 was 63.8698 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3% over the previous year.

The impact of the spread of the epidemic on consumers' travel and car purchase decisions has been weakened, consumer confidence has warmed up, and the car market has returned to normal steadily.
The Federation believes that the new energy vehicle market is facing fluctuations in the short term, due to the large price adjustment of some leading manufacturers, consumers have a certain wait-and-see mood, and the follow-up will gradually return to a normal pace.
