Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Brother Black fly's left hand clue delivery! CTOnews.com, January 28 (Xinhua) smartphone sales in China fell 14% year-on-year in 2022, including a 15% drop in the fourth quarter, according to Counterpoint Research data.

Counterpoint pointed out that due to the slowdown in smartphone sales in China, sales of mobile phone brands such as Apple, vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi declined to varying degrees except Huawei in 2022, but the decline of Apple was significantly smaller than that of other brands.

For the whole of 2022, Apple's market share in China was 18%, compared with 16% in 2021. At the same time, the market share of major Android host manufacturers fell sharply year-on-year in 2022 as demand fell due to economic uncertainty. OPPO is down 27% from the same period last year, and 23% from the same period last year, while Xiaomi is down 19% from the same period last year. It is worth noting that Glory Brand rose significantly, up 38% year-on-year, but this growth needs to refer to factors with a low base in 2021.

CTOnews.com learned that apple still suffered the slightest decline in the fourth quarter of 2022, even reaching the highest quarterly share ever, with a 23.7% share of the Chinese market, up slightly from 23% in the same period last year.

It was closely followed by vivo, which ranked second in sales in the fourth quarter, accounting for 17.2%, but vivo remained the top seller of the year, shrinking its market share to 19.2% from 21.5% in 2021. OPPO ranked third, accounting for 16 per cent of sales in the fourth quarter of last year, with a market share of 17.5 per cent in the fourth quarter of last year, down from 20.7 per cent in 2021. Honor ranked fourth, with its market share rising to 16.7 per cent, while Xiaomi, which ranked fifth in sales in the fourth quarter and the whole year, suffered a decline in market share to 13.9 per cent.
