Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, January 26, according to the Wall Street Journal, Boeing reported another quarterly loss, but in the face of supply chain challenges, the company still plans to increase aircraft production and delivery this year.

Us media pointed out that Boeing suffered losses for the fourth year in a row because of the problem that the production cost of commercial aircraft exceeded its budget. Last year, Boeing and rival Airbus benefited from a rebound in aircraft orders as airlines recovered from the travel downturn caused by the epidemic. However, due to a shortage of components such as aircraft engines, the two companies have struggled to increase production to keep up with demand.

For the whole of 2022, Boeing's revenue was about $66.6 billion (currently about 451.548 billion yuan), up 7 percent from a year earlier, and a net loss of about $5.053 billion (currently about 34.259 billion yuan), an increase of about 18 percent year-on-year, according to the results.

CTOnews.com learned that Boeing delivered 152 civil aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 54 per cent. In addition, Boeing received net orders for 774 civil aircraft in 2022, including 561 737 family orders and 213 dual-aisle aircraft orders.

According to the financial report, Boeing's current production of the 737 is 31 per month, and Boeing plans to increase production of the aircraft to 50 per month in two years' time and to 5 787 per month by the end of this year.
