CTOnews.com, January 26 (Xinhua)-- Facebook parent company Meta will pay BuzzFeed millions of dollars to attract more creators to use the social media giant's platform, according to the Wall Street Journal.

As part of a deal worth nearly $10 million (currently about 67.8 million yuan) reached last year, BuzzFeed agreed to help generate creator content for Meta's platform and train creators to expand their influence online, according to people familiar with the matter.

According to reports, BuzzFeed, which is early known for its popular content of "viral transmission" such as lists and quizzes, is helping creators understand what resonates widely.

Us media pointed out that this cooperation marks a new look in the cooperative relationship between the two companies. BuzzFeed's business is largely based on Facebook's viral content.
