Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen goodfull for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, January 25, according to Nvidia's official news, Tencent Interactive Entertainment content Ecology Department (Content Development Department, hereinafter referred to as CDD) is working deeply with Nvidia to build a new generation of super-resolution rendering platform based on advanced technologies such as Nvidia RTX A6000 + BlueField-2 DPU + Spectrum-3 switches.

The two teams have carried out continuous technical research in the direction of ultra-low delay transmission of video stream, integrating NVIDIA Rivermax into the production software environment, and further reducing the interaction delay of super-high-resolution rendering platform.

According to reports, at the end of 2020, Tencent Games set up the content Ecology Department (Content Development Department, hereinafter referred to as CDD), which has many business lines, such as virtual human, virtual production and so on. In November 2021, CDD built a LED virtual studio covering a total area of 3000 square meters in Pingshan, Shenzhen. The studio is equipped with a 240° curved LED facade screen of 40m*6m and a canopy of more than 100square meters that can move up and down. The distance between LED points is 2.3.It supports high speed shooting.

However, all industries that need to display real-time rendering content on large LED facade screens face a common challenge, that is, each render node is actually an independent running workstation. In the actual shooting process, it not only consumes a lot of computing resources to render high-resolution, high-frame-rate, high-quality real-time content, but also needs to synchronize the technical parameters of all rendering nodes. Promote the presentation of content in all display media at the same time.

CDD solves these challenges by integrating the overall solution of NVIDIA Rivermax. The architecture of the integrated system is shown in the following figure:

CTOnews.com learned that Nvidia RTX A6000 undertakes distributed real-time rendering tasks on the new platform. RTX A6000 has 48GB video memory, which can load all the model and texture data needed to shoot the scene into the video memory and call it as needed during the shooting process. Render nodes support multi-GPU viewport rendering, which allows the creator to specify a GPU to render a specific viewport and copy the render result directly to another GPU to display the output via NVLink. On the other hand, multiple display areas synchronize vsync signals through NVIDIA Quadro Sync II, and combine the NVAPI swapgroup / barrier technology provided by Nvidia professional graphics card to put the rendering results together perfectly.

In addition, the entire rendering platform has the hardware ability to run the overall NVIDIA Rivermax solution by adding Nvidia BlueField-2 DPU and NVIDIA Spectrum-3 switches.
