CTOnews.com, January 26 (Xinhua) Microsoft is investigating network problems after tens of thousands of users around the world reported that they could not access services such as Teams and Outlook. In the latest development, Microsoft said it had now "confirmed that the affected services have been restored and remained stable, and is investigating some potential impact on Exchange online services."

In a series of tweets previously posted by the Microsoft 365 Status Twitter account, Microsoft said it was taking steps to isolate the problem, but did not mention the extent of the impact.

Microsoft previously said: "We are investigating issues affecting a number of Microsoft 365services and have rolled back network changes that we believe will have an impact. When the rollback takes effect, we are monitoring the service."

According to the online downtime tracker Downdetector, nearly 4000 people in India were affected and more than 5000 people in the UK reported that Outlook could not be accessed. Reports of downtime visits to Australia, Japan and the United Arab Emirates also surged. A large number of users in China are also affected.

According to Microsoft, more than 280 million people worldwide use Microsoft Teams, across businesses and schools, and so on. CTOnews.com learned that other services affected by the outage included Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.

Microsoft previously said it had also investigated a connection problem with the cloud computing service Azure, which affected "some users".
