CTOnews.com, January 25 (Xinhua)-- Apple has begun hiring staff for its first Apple Store retail store in Malaysia, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple recently posted job postings in Malaysia on its website. These include retail store managers, retail store leaders, operations experts, business experts, technical experts, support staff, creative people and sales staff. These lists show that these positions are for Apple's own retail stores, not for third-party dealers. Apple also runs an online store in Malaysia.

Although the to-do list does not indicate the location of Malaysia's first Apple retail store in any way, the report indicates that it may be built in the country's capital, Kuala Lumpur.

This development will strengthen Apple's influence in Asia. Back in November 2015, Apple opened a retail store in Singapore, its first retail store in Southeast Asia. Three years later, Apple opened another store in neighboring Thailand. More importantly, Apple recently released job postings for its first location in India, a retail store that has been in preparation for several years.

Although Apple does not report sales in individual countries, the company generated more than $29 billion in revenue from its Asia-Pacific region in the last fiscal year, according to Bloomberg.
