CTOnews.com, January 25, according to CCTV news, the "Discovery No. 1" research ship, carrying the "Endeavour" all-sea manned submersible, was successfully recovered from the deepest point of the Tiamantina trench on January 22. This is the deepest point of the trench for the first time in human history.

Data show that the Tiamantina Trench is the second deepest trench in the Indian Ocean, with a maximum depth of 8047 meters, which is located 1125 kilometers west-southwest of Perth, Australia.

CTOnews.com learned that in June 2020, China's 10,000-meter manned submersible was officially named "Endeavour". On November 10 of the same year, the Endeavour successfully sat at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, with a depth of 10909 meters.

The striver found a large number of iron and manganese nodules at the bottom of the Tiamantina trench. As of January 22, the manned submersible "Endeavour" had made a total of 159 dives, of which 25 were in the 10,000-meter class.
