Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, January 25, Microsoft revealed details of known issues affecting the latest version of Windows. Microsoft says users running Windows 10 and Windows 11 (versions between 20H2 and 22H2) may have problems opening the start menu, Windows search and various UWP applications. The first report on this situation appeared about a week ago, and now Microsoft has confirmed the problem.
CTOnews.com learned, however, that this issue does not seem to have anything to do with Windows updates. Microsoft says the culprit is corrupted registry keys or data that can affect applications that use Microsoft Office API, such as Barco's ClickShare.
Microsoft is investigating the situation and promises to release fixes in upcoming updates. At the same time, users can mitigate errors by uninstalling applications that integrate with Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Calendar. Microsoft also recommends running multiple scripts as described in the official troubleshooting guide, or contacting the application developer for advice.
Microsoft also recently confirmed that using Windows system restore points may cause applications to not work properly on some computers.
