CTOnews.com January 24, Microsoft Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer Panos Panay made a commitment at the Computerx conference in May last year that maintaining the high quality of Windows 11 is the company's top priority. Although Panet did not specify the details at the time, it is foreseeable that Microsoft was improving the reliability of the Win11 system.

Garrett Duchesne, Microsoft's chief project manager, recently published a technology community blog post outlining the company's latest improvements in audio and display driver evaluation.

The new driver evaluation scheme will reload events in the software digital rights management (Software Digital Rights Management, referred to as SWDRM) directory, which will help related problems such as driver timeouts encountered when playing software DRM content in other streaming applications such as Netflix.

CTOnews.com learned that in this blog post, Microsoft explained:

Devices that are reloading events in the Code Integrity catalog may receive timeouts from other applications such as Netflix when mfpmp.exe loads the installer. This "device based" (device-based) approach is used to detect this situation.

When playing videos on Windows devices, DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology (software or hardware) will be used. We use the collection of all devices with SWDRM playback as our sample location to calculate the percentage.

In addition, the company hopes to better address audio processing object or APO (software-based digital signal processing) crashes, as current methods usually cause audio crashes to fail for a period of time when drivers are submitted. This has been explained in the document titled "at least one APO disabled computer in the past 7 days".
