CTOnews.com, January 23-some Apple executives sold more shares in 2022 than the year before, but CEO Tim Cook didn't sell any shares.

Recently, cook announced that he would voluntarily cut his annual salary by 40%, and it has been revealed that he did not sell apple stock in 2022, while apple executives such as chief financial officer Luca Maestri sold a lot of shares.

CTOnews.com learned that Maestri sold $16.9 million worth of Apple shares in one sale, but now, according to Barrons, he sold $44.4 million of shares throughout 2022. Deirdre O'Brien, senior vice president of retail and personnel, sold $35.3 million worth of Apple stock, while general consultant Kate Adams sold $38.1 million, all of whom sold more in 2022 than in 2021. Sales of Apple's chief operating officer Jeff Williams were lower than in 2021, at $18.8 million and $39.9 million in 2021.

By contrast, Cook last sold Apple shares in August 2021. At the time, as part of his original deal to take over as chief executive in 2011, he acquired 5040000 Apple shares, all of which he sold for a profit of about $355 million.

Barrons pointed out that it is not known whether Cook voluntarily chose not to sell any Apple shares, but it is also possible that, like other executives, sales can be triggered automatically when predetermined conditions such as a rise in the share price level arise.
