CTOnews.com, January 23, according to Economic Times, Apple's iPhone exports in December 2022 exceeded 8100 Crore rupees, or about $1 billion (currently about 6.78 billion yuan). This sets a new record for Apple's monthly iPhone exports, and the report points out that Apple has led India's smartphone export business, with a total export value of 10000 kilos, or about $1.235 billion (currently about 8.373 billion yuan).

CTOnews.com learned that Apple currently has three main suppliers in India, including Foxconn, Pegatron and Witronix. The manufacturers, based in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, are participants in the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) smartphone program launched by the Indian government in April 2020.

With the smartphone business as a starting point, India wants to increase exports in 13 industries. In fact, Samsung's exports in India are also relatively large, only due to a 10-15-day shutdown due to regular maintenance in December last year, resulting in a decline in production and exports.
