Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, January 23 (Xinhua) Microsoft is developing an internal "One Outlook" mail application called "Project Monarch" and launched an app called "Outlook for Windows" on Microsoft Store last year, inviting a small number of users to test the new Outlook experience.
The latest news is that Microsoft is already planning to replace the native "Mail" apps in Win11 and Win10 with "Outlook for Windows" apps.
CTOnews.com found that UWP Mail apps on the Win11 / Win10 platform already have a "Try the preview" button (try a preview version). Users are asked to download Outlook for Windows after clicking, indicating that Microsoft is planning to replace the native Mail application on the Win10 / Win11 platform.
The only problem is that the current "Outlook for Windows" application is still not perfect, there are a lot of missing functions, and the existing features are not elaborate enough.
Foreign media have downloaded Outlook for Windows according to the steps, which can run at the same time as the existing UWP Mail application. However, Outlook for Windows is a PWA application, so the interface is very similar to the web version of Outlook.com.
