CTOnews.com January 22, Crystal Dynamics (Crystal Dynamics) insiders @ Miller Ross revealed that after Marvel Avengers stopped updating, its developers will switch to the Tomb Raider project, which is currently "in the stage of full development" and is expected to be fully released later this year.

The new Tomb Raider was announced in April 2022. Crystal Dynamics says it will no longer use its own Foundation engine, but will use Unreal engine 5 instead. In addition, the release of this work will also be taken over by Amazon.

CTOnews.com has reported that the Marvel Avengers has confirmed that the final update of the game will come on March 31 this year and will end support on September 30.

Tomb Raider was originally an action adventure game launched by British gaming company Core Design in 1996 and has since expanded into a cross-media brand. Ownership of the series was transferred to Skewell Anix between Eidos,2009 and 2021 and to Crystal Power in 2022.

In May, Embracer Group from Sweden bought Crystal Power, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal and more than 50 familiar IP from Square Enix for $300m, including Breaking out of the siege and Tomb Raider.

According to public information, the Tomb Raider series now has 12 orthodox works and a number of derivative works, of which the restart trilogy Tomb Raider (2013), Tomb Raider: rise and Tomb Raider: shadow accounted for nearly half of the total sales.
