CTOnews.com, January 21, according to Intel, Intel has announced plans for an initial investment of more than $20 billion to build two new cutting-edge chip plants in Lijin County, Ohio.

As part of Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy, this investment will help increase production to meet the growing demand for advanced semiconductors, power Intel's next generation of innovative products, and meet the needs of contract customers.

Tuyuan Intel is the largest single private sector investment in Ohio history, and the initial phase of the project is expected to create 3000 Intel jobs and 7000 construction jobs during construction. And support tens of thousands of additional local long-term jobs across the United States.

To support the development of the new site, Intel has pledged an additional $100 million to build partnerships with educational institutions to build talent channels and strengthen research programs in the region.
