According to CTOnews.com on January 21, Elon Musk said on Twitter on Saturday that Twitter has about 2300 active employees.

CNBC reported on Friday that Twitter's full-time staff has been reduced to about 1300 full-time employees, including fewer than 550full-time engineers.

About 75 of the company's 1300 employees are on leave, including about 40 engineers, CNBC said, citing internal records.

"this statement is not correct." "Twitter has about 2300 active employees," Musk said in response to a quote from CNBC on Twitter.

Mr Musk added: "there are still hundreds of employees working on trust and security and thousands of contractors. There are fewer than 10 people in my other companies working at Twitter."

In addition, Musk also said that Twitter can be updated normally in Apple's App Store.

Musk took over the Twitter-- purchase price of $44 billion last October-and quickly made a series of product and organizational changes. The company introduced a modified Twitter-certified Blue badge as a paid service and laid off about 50 per cent of its workforce.
