The United States spent nearly $5 billion to expand the size of charging piles when it voted to pass the infrastructure bill in 2021. At the event, Michael Berube, deputy assistant secretary of energy for sustainable transportation, said: "We want to create a complete national power network, covering every interstate and every major highway from the east coast to the west coast."

CTOnews.com learned that Berube also said that in addition to the existing construction of 130000 charging piles, an additional 500000 would be built to meet the travel needs of American electric vehicle owners.

At the meeting, Berube also responded to many complaints from American electric car owners, who reported that electric car chargers are mixed. "We are very focused on this issue," he said. we will issue relevant standards that require 97% of the chargers to meet the standard.
