The leaked information indicates that the price of the Galaxy S23 series will not rise as much as previously rumored, but it will be slightly more expensive than the Galaxy S22 series.

The leaked materials show that the basic Samsung Galaxy S23 with 256GB and 512GB storage space will sell for 115.5 million won (currently about 6341 yuan, $931) and 127.6 million won (currently about 7005 yuan, $1029), respectively.

Galaxy S23 + with 256GB and 512GB storage space will cost 135.3 million won (currently about 7428 yuan, US $1091) and 147.4 million won (currently about 8092 yuan, US $1189), respectively. The 256GB storage version of the high-end Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will cost 1599400 won (currently about 8781 yuan, $1290), while the 512GB storage version will cost 1720400 won (currently about 9445 yuan, $1388).

For reference, when Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra were launched in South Korea last year, the prices were 999900 won (currently about 5489 yuan, $806), 1199000 won (currently about 6583 yuan, $967) and 1452000 won (currently about 7971 yuan, $1,171), respectively.

The reality is that, given the current economic situation, almost everything has become more expensive in recent years. CTOnews.com has learned that in the case of Samsung, the Galaxy S23 series is said to be more expensive in South Korea because of higher component costs and higher inflation.

However, even if the Samsung Galaxy S23 goes public at a price higher than the S22, such a price increase may not happen in its entirety. In markets including South Korea and Australia, the Galaxy S23 lineup is likely to be more expensive. However, leaked US market prices suggest that the price of the upcoming flagship series is the same as last year. In the United States, the Galaxy S23 is expected to start at $799 (currently about 5417 yuan).
