CTOnews.com, January 21, Apple this week unveiled a new MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, but careful netizens looked at the specifications page and found that Apple had scaled back the specifications of its media engine.

Apple's Chinese website shows two ProRes codec engines M1 Max with "two video codec engines" and "two ProRes codec engines", while only one is listed in the M2 Max specification list.

According to Apple's official press release, the M2 Max chip has two ProRes codec engines. Apple is clearly aware of this mistake, and its current visit to the relevant product page of Apple's Chinese website does show "two ProRes codec engines".

It's just that the Wayback Machine function of the Internet Archives does not record the history of this page on Apple's official website in China. CTOnews.com now attaches screenshots of incorrect specification information on Apple's official website abroad:
