Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com January 20 news, Microsoft is currently Windows 11 as the center for the main development, Windows 10 as an auxiliary update, entered the later stage of technical support. There are recent signs that Microsoft stopped selling Windows 10 licenses through its website by the end of January, while the company released lacklustre updates to its operating system last year. Now, Microsoft is further reducing the priority of the previous version of Windows 10.

In addition to releasing a cumulative update of KB5019275 for Windows 10 to fix some existing problems and new OneDrive storage alerts, Microsoft also issued notification reminders:

"after March 2023, Windows 10 supported version 20H2 and Windows 10 supported version 21H2 no longer have optional, non-secure preview versions. Only cumulative monthly security updates (known as" B "or Tuesday patch versions) will continue. Windows 10 version 22H2 will continue to receive secure and optional updates."

CTOnews.com has learned that most versions of Windows 10 20H2 are no longer supported, but its support for enterprise, education, and Internet of things enterprise customers will continue until May 9, 2023. On the other hand, Windows 10 21H2 support for home, professional, professional education, and workstation professional SKU will last until June 13, 2023, and enterprise customer support for enterprise, education, and the Internet of things will continue until June 11, 2024.

These are the two versions of Windows 10 affected by this announcement, and they will not receive an optional preview update from Microsoft starting in March this year. However, they still receive cumulative security updates until the end of their life cycle.

This means that future 22H2 versions are the only fully supported Windows 10 versions and will continue to receive optional preview updates. However, the full version of Microsoft's Windows 10 system will also be discontinued on October 14, 2025.
