CTOnews.com January 20 news, Kuaishou yesterday announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that the company's controlling shareholder, Dajia Development, sold more than 54.71 million Class B shares of the company through over-the-counter bulk trading on January 18, 2023 (after the trading session), accounting for about 1.26% of the company's total issued share capital at the date of the announcement, with a consideration of HK $69.0563 per share, totaling about HK $3.778 billion (currently about RMB 3.268 billion).

The proceeds will be invested in areas such as charitable donations, cutting-edge science and technology exploration and infrastructure investment, Kuaishou said in the announcement. Upon completion of the sale, Daya Development will account for about 9.87% of the total issued share capital of the company and about 38.08% of the voting rights of the company.

CTOnews.com understands that the announcement points out that all beneficial interests in DJA Development are owned by Executive Director and Chairman Suhua and his family. After the completion of the sale, Daga Development and Suhua will continue to be the controlling shareholders of the company.

According to the financial report, Kuaishou's revenue in the third quarter of 2022 was 23.13 billion yuan, up 12.9% from the same period last year, while the adjusted net loss was 670 million yuan, 85.4% smaller than the same period last year.
