CTOnews.com learned that ColorOS 13 mainly brings aquatic design, adding Aquamorphic Design theme colors for enhanced visual comfort; upgrades to Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 with new behavior recognition features that can recognize complex gestures and provide optimized interaction; applies real-world physical actions to animations to make them look more natural and intuitive; and adds large folders to the home screen. It now opens apps in enlarged folders with a single tap and swipes through the pages in folders; adds media playback controls and optimizes the quick setup experience; adds support for adding widgets to the home screen to personalize information display; and adds sidebar toolboxes. Floating windows can be opened within the app for smooth operation; automatic pixelization has been added to chat screenshots. The system can recognize and automatically pixelate profile pictures and display names in chat screenshots to protect privacy; add dynamic calculation engines to improve system speed, stability, battery life and app experience, and more.
