Blizzard said players living in China (which actually refers to Chinese mainland in English) will not be able to participate in the event. Blizzard China recently posted that Blizzard contacted NetEase again last week and asked for assistance, trying to negotiate with NetEase to extend the agreement signed in 2019 for six months, so as to make the national service operate normally. At the same time, Blizzard also asked Blizzard to find other national service agents, but NetEase did not accept the agreement. NetEase responded that as an agency, NetEase never sought control of IP over Blizzard Games or other partners. In the course of long-term cooperation over the past 14 years, NetEase used and authorized any Blizzard IP in accordance with the terms of the contract and obtained Blizzard's consent and approval. IP cooperation with other partners is also based on this principle.
