CTOnews.com, January 20 (Xinhua) A boxing coach at an Australian gym mistakenly touched Siri and issued a false alarm, causing 15 police officers with guns to come to the rescue.

Jamie Alleyne, a 34-year-old Thai boxer and trainer from Sydney, accidentally triggered the Siri voice assistant wearing Apple Watch Series 7 while teaching Muay Thai to his users, and accidentally called the emergency service number, according to local media news.com.au.

CTOnews.com learned that 15 police armed with guns arrived at the scene around 07:45 on Tuesday morning, and police believe there was a shooting in the gym.

"about 15 police officers arrived at the scene with several ambulances parked on the side, and then the police arrived at the gym and asked where Alleyne was," Alleyne said.

Alleyne didn't know what happened because he didn't carry a cell phone at the time. It was then learned that the Apple Watch worn on the wrist accidentally triggered Siri and sent a helpline.

This is mainly because coaches shout 1-1-2 when instructing students to exercise, while the emergency number in Australia, similar to 911 in the United States, is 112.

The coach happened to be saying "good shot" or "nice shot" when Siri dialed 112 for help. This led paramedics to believe that there was an emergency involving a shooting at the address of the gym, possibly suicide.
