CTOnews.com news on January 20, Apple's third-generation Apple TV 4K users continue to report on social media such as Reddit community, MacRumors forum, Apple official support forum, Twitter and other social media that there is a connection problem with Siri Remote remote control, and users need to restart the remote control / set-top box to temporarily fix it.

Foreign science and technology media MacRumors analyzed these connection problems reported by users and found that it was caused by Bluetooth connection failure, even when the Siri Remote remote control was very close to Apple TV 4K.

CTOnews.com also learned that some users reported that there was an intermittent disconnection in the Siri Remote remote control, and the current temporary solution is to re-pair or restart the remote control, or unplug the Apple TV power cable and reconnect it.

It is worth noting that the above problem did not occur when users tried to control the Apple TV 4K using the Remote application on iPhone or using the TV remote control through HDMI-CEC. This indicates that the failure is indeed caused by a Bluetooth problem between the remote control and the Apple TV 4K.

It is not clear what caused the problem, but there are signs that users did not appear until after upgrading the tvOS 16.2 update.
