CTOnews.com, January 20 (Xinhua) according to US media reports, social media company Twitter has auctioned refrigerated wine cabinets, pizza ovens and other supplies at its headquarters in San Francisco. This appears to be the company's latest move to cut costs.

CTOnews.com learned that an auction page of auction house Heritage Global Partners showed that more than 600 items were sold online and closed on Wednesday afternoon local time. On this page, these items are described as "redundant office assets".

It is worth mentioning that the auction included a 10-foot-tall neon sign with a Twitter bird, which sold for $40,000 (currently about 270000 yuan), while the statue of the Twitter "Little Bluebird" symbol sold for $100000 (currently about 676000 yuan).

However, Nick Dove, president of Heritage Global Partners, said in an interview that the auction had nothing to do with Twitter's financial situation.
