CTOnews.com learned that in July last year, Hubei Xingji Times Technology Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd., announcing that Xingji Times held a controlling stake of 79.09% of Meizu Technology and acquired separate control of Meizu Technology. On the same day, the industrial and commercial change took place in Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd., the major shareholder changed from Huang Xiuzhang to Wuhan Xinglian Times Technology Co., Ltd., the legal representative changed from Huang Xiupan to Shen Ziyu, and the chairman also changed from Huang Xiuzhang to Shen Ziyu. After this transaction, Li Shufu, founder of Geely, continues to serve as chairman of star era, Shen Ziyu, vice chairman of star era, serves as chairman of Meizu Technology, and Meizu Technology founder Huang Zhang holds a 9.79% stake as Meizu Technology's product strategy consultant.

Meizu will retain its independent team and release a new flagship in 2023. It is expected to be the flagship phone of the Meizu 20 series, the first batch of which will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
