Beijing time on the evening of January 18, it is reported that employees of Elon Musk's space exploration technology company SpaceX recently said that Musk's focus on Twitter made them breathe a sigh of relief because it brought them a calmer working environment.

Several current and former SpaceX employees say they don't need Musk to watch them every day. They also say that since Musk took over Twitter in late October last year, the working atmosphere of SpaceX has become very calm.

The employees also point out that Musk's key role at SpaceX should be to set the company's development goals, such as colonizing Mars or helping NASA put a man on the moon again.

It is reported that when Musk is engaged in day-to-day operations management at SpaceX, it may bring more work to employees. For example, these current and former employees say Mr Musk has previously ordered changes to the product design at will to meet his personal preferences.

For example, requiring SpaceX employees to redesign technical hardware based on Musk's aesthetic view could take weeks to complete. Some of Musk's requirements sometimes lead employees to redesign the functionality of the product, they added.

Last December, Musk wrote on Twitter: "I will continue to manage Tesla and SpaceX, but the teams there are so good that they usually don't need me to do anything."

Gwynne Shotwell, chief operating officer (COO), was in charge of the day-to-day management of SpaceX while Musk was away. Bill Nelson (Bill Nelson), director of the NASA, has said that Mr Schottwell had assured him that Mr Musk's focus on Twitter would not affect SpaceX.

Last month, Musk launched an opinion poll on Twitter asking fans whether they should resign as Twitter CEO, and the final vote supported Musk to do so. Musk said he would abide by the result of the vote.

As we all know, Musk serves not only as CEO of Tesla, but also as CEO of Twitter, SpaceX, tunnel excavation company The Boring Company and brain-computer interface company Neuralink.

Data show that Musk's private jet has not flown to SpaceX's airport near the Texas rocket launch site since October 14 last year.
