AED equipment is conspicuously located and equipped with operation instructions, and the staff are trained in AED practice.

When the public needs to use the equipment, they can press the front automatic turn-on button, stick the electrode piece according to the picture, and follow the AED voice prompt.

CTOnews.com learned that the deployment of AED equipment in public places is to provide timely defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for patients with cardiac arrest within the golden rescue time four minutes before the occurrence of cardiac arrest, thus greatly improving the success rate of treatment.

Xiamen has vigorously promoted the allocation of AED + mass emergency rescue public welfare projects in public places during the 14th five-year Plan. In 2022 alone, the city will deploy 274 new AED units and carry out certificate training for 28568 ambulancemen to ensure that AED can play an effective role in case of emergency.

At present, Xiamen also uses the intelligent management platform to launch the city's AED electronic map on many official Wechat accounts such as "Beautiful Xiamen, Wisdom and Health" and "Xiamen 120". The public can log on to the Wechat official account through mobile Wechat to query the nearest AED sites around them, so as to maximize the effectiveness of the life-saving artifact as quickly as possible.
