Apple released a short video after the launch of the new MacBook Pro and Mac mini that included the word 2022 in its file name, suggesting that the video might have originally been scheduled to premiere last year.

Some speculated that the 18-minute video was taken from a major event Apple plans to hold in October or November 2022 that will include not only the new M2 Pro and M2 Max Mac products, but also other new products. In addition, AR files for the new MacBook Pro were also created in October 2022.

CTOnews.com has learned that Apple generally hosts an event in September each fall to announce its latest iPhone and Apple Watch. In the run-up to fall 2022, rumors are mounting that Apple is planning two events between September and December: one for iPhone and Apple Watch and another for Mac and iPad.

However, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman later claimed that Apple canceled plans for a second event in the fall and instead released the rest of its 2022 products through press releases on its website. After that, we know that in October 2022, Apple released an iPad Pro with an M2 chip and a redesigned 10th generation entry-level iPad through a press release.

Now, Mac and iPad launches in the second half of 2022 have indeed been cancelled, and products have been split up and released through press releases.
