The main content of the verification flight is to simulate the operation process of the whole flight, including the processes of signing and releasing, passenger boarding, pilot operation, maintenance, operation support, etc., mainly verifying the airline's ability to operate the C919 aircraft safely, including the applicability and maneuverability of the policies, standards, regulations and procedures developed earlier, so as to ensure that after the large domestic aircraft enters commercial operation. It can provide a good flight experience for the majority of passengers and make the commercial flights of C919 safer and more efficient.

As the support unit of C919, China Eastern Wuhan Company has conducted several rounds of training for signing personnel, aircraft maintenance personnel and ground service support personnel, and formulated a detailed support plan and inspection list, so as to make adequate preparations for the follow-up normal operation support.

Wuhan is one of the 100 hours of C919 verification flights involving 9 provinces and cities and 10 airports. Subsequent verification flights will be carried out in Nanchang, Jinan, Taiyuan and other places, all of which will last until mid-February 2023.

According to reports, the Civil Aviation Administration of China will examine and inspect the verification results and issue the corresponding operation license after confirming that China Eastern Airlines has the ability to operate C919 aircraft safely.

After the completion of the route verification flight of the C919, the C919 is expected to be officially put into commercial passenger operation in the spring of 2023. At that time, C919 will appear on routes such as Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

It belongs to the single-channel 150th-seat class, with a standard seating capacity of 168. it can hold up to 190seats, and is called "medium-and short-range twin-engine narrow-body civil transport aircraft".
