According to news from CTOnews.com on January 17, the reporting Center of the Central Internet Information Office issued a notice today that in December 2022, the reporting Center of the Central Internet Information Office directed the national Internet letter reporting departments at all levels and major website platforms to accept 14.628 million reports, an increase of 23.1% from the previous month and 16.1% from the same period last year.

Of these, the reporting center of the Central Cyber Information Office accepted 671000 reports, up 35.6% from the previous month and 111.5% over the same period last year. 773000 reports were accepted by local online reporting departments, down 0.5% from the previous month and 29.0% from the same period last year. 13.184 million reports were accepted by major websites nationwide, an increase of 24.2% from the previous month and 17.7% from the same period last year.

It is worth mentioning that among the reports accepted by the major website platforms throughout the country, the major commercial website platforms accounted for 50.4%, reaching 7.377 million.

The Internet Information Office also pointed out that at present, major website platforms across the country continue to smooth the reporting channels, accept and deal with reports from netizens.
