The report on the Employment quality of graduates of Tsinghua University in 2022 has been released.

Compared with 2021, the effective information of this year's report is much shorter, leaving only four pages of charts and removing specific text analysis.

So, what kind of life path will Tsinghua students choose after coming out of the top Top 2 universities in China?

There has been a slight increase in the number of graduates of the class of 2022 from Tsinghua University, an increase compared with previous years. Among them, there were 3197 undergraduate students (39.9%), 2657 master's degree students (33.2%) and 2149 doctoral students (26.9%).

Overall, 35.4% of graduates chose to pursue further studies, the same proportion as last year.

Among them, the number of people studying abroad is 566, accounting for 7.1% of the total number of graduates. There is a slight increase from 517 and 6.9% last year.

More than 62.7% still choose to be employed.

Among them, the proportion of the three signatories reached 52.5%, up from 49.3% last year.

The distribution of graduates of the class of 2022 from Tsinghua University can be seen from the table that the majority (79.6%) of Tsinghua graduates have chosen to pursue further studies, and only 17.3% have chosen to work directly after graduation.

Among the graduates who choose to pursue further studies, 65.6% choose to pursue further studies at home, and only 14% go abroad.

Compared with the 2021 data, we can see that the proportion of undergraduate graduates choosing employment has declined (from 21.5% last year to 17.3% this year).

Among the undergraduate graduates in 2021, 63.7% chose to pursue further studies in China, and 13% chose to go abroad.

After graduating with a master's degree, the number of people who chose to work rose to 88.3%. It can be seen that the master's diploma of Tsinghua University is indeed a resounding gold-lettered signboard in the process of job hunting.

For doctoral graduates in 2022, the employment rate reached 98.6%. 87.4% of them signed the three parties.

Compared with 2021, the employment rate this year is 0.5 percentage points higher, and the proportion of three parties is also higher.

In 2022, 6.4% of undergraduate graduates chose to join the education industry, down from 10% last year.

Graduates return to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou as a whole, the employment of graduates of the class of 2022 of Tsinghua University is widely distributed, but it is still the first choice for students.

Compared with the distribution of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) where graduates of the class of 2022 sign three-party employment units, the proportion of undergraduates studying in Beijing has increased significantly, from 16.1% to 25.4% in 2021. The retention rate of doctoral students is 54.9%, which is still stable at more than half, but it is lower than the 55.9% in 2021. Shanghai and Guangdong both increased, at 9.7% and 8.9% respectively, compared with 7.8% and 7.7% last year.

Comparing the distribution of the provinces (autonomous regions and cities) where the graduates of Tsinghua University of 2021 sign three employment units, it can be found that both master's degree students and doctoral students are more willing to stay in big cities, while undergraduates are more likely to leave the north, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
