Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com January 17 news, Blizzard China issued a note at noon today, explaining the status of Blizzard Entertainment's game services in the national service area.

Blizzard China said it contacted NetEase again last week and asked for assistance to explore the extension of the existing agreement, which was based on the agreed terms in 2019, for six months, so that everyone can continue to play without interruption. It also allows Blizzard to continue to explore a reasonable and long-term development path in the national service region in the future. However, NetEase did not accept his proposal to extend the existing game service agreement after last week's deferred negotiations. Therefore, Blizzard will suspend the national service game service on January 23 in accordance with the notice of easy suspension of service.

CTOnews.com learned that Blizzard China said that in addition to the storage of game data provided by NetTech, Blizzard will also launch a feature tomorrow (January 18, Beijing time) to allow World of Warcraft players to download their game progress for future use. When the national server game is back online in the future, you can upload the game history saved in your hands in order to continue the game. This function will continue to open until the national service is out of service.

In terms of refund, Blizzard China expects Blizzard China to open a refund application channel later on for the online game virtual currency that players have recharged but not consumed in the game and the game time (if any) that has been paid for and not yet expired.

Referring to the progress in finding new partners, Blizzard China noted that it had held talks with a number of potential partners. It will share new developments with you in the future.

The following is the full text of Blizzard's update to the national service player community:

Dear players of national service,

Through today's letter, we would like to explain to you the status of Blizzard Entertainment's game services in the national service area.

We understand that everyone has suffered a lot since NetEase's relevant announcement was issued, and we ourselves are deeply worried. We always put players first, no matter where you come from in the world. Everyone's uncertainty about the future also makes our Blizzard colleagues who have served the national service player community for 20 years feel very painful.

Many of Blizzard's colleagues are gamers. We made many lifelong friends through video games and gained a lot of precious memories. These game spaces mean a lot to us, so that we can have fun and become a player who loves Blizzard games. We fully understand how important games are to people. Many Chinese server players have also sent messages and emails to share your feelings. You can't play the pain of your favorite games. You grew up with Blizzard games and even Blizzard's early classic games. You have been Blizzard players ever since. We sighed when we read every email.

It is precisely out of our personal experience as gamers and the chagrin expressed to us by national service players that we contacted NetEase again last week and asked for assistance to explore the extension of the existing agreement, which was based on the agreed terms and conditions agreed by the website in 2019, for six months, so that everyone can continue to play without interference, and Blizzard continues to explore a reasonable and long-term development path in the national service region in the future. Unfortunately, NetEase did not accept our proposal to extend the existing game service agreement after the deferred negotiations last week. Therefore, we will have to suspend the national service game service on January 23 in accordance with the notice of easy suspension of service.

In view of this unfortunate result, we would like to reaffirm our commitment to national service players and share with you the latest information we can provide:

About the progress of players' games.

The proper storage of your game schedule, equipment and good memories is crucial for every Blizzard colleague-we have created these worlds to make you feel like you are part of it. We hope that you will be able to move on from where you left earlier. We hope that NetEase can properly seal the game data of all players in accordance with his previously announced suspension of service.

In order to make the national server players of World of Warcraft feel at ease, Blizzard will also launch a feature tomorrow (January 18, Beijing time) in addition to the game data provided by NetEase. let "World of Warcraft" national server players download their game progress for future use. When the national server game is back online in the future, you can upload the game history saved in your hands in order to continue the game. This function will continue to open until the national service is out of service. We will also share more information about the progress of World of Warcraft with you on Weibo.

About refund

As mentioned in the previous announcement issued by NetEase on November 17, 2022, for the online game virtual currency that players have recharged but not consumed in the game, and the game time (if any) that players have paid for and have not yet expired, we expect that NetEase will open a refund application channel later. For more information, please pay attention to the refund related information release.

Progress on the search for new partners

We have held talks with a number of potential partners who share our player-first values. We will give priority to potential partners who can provide players with high-quality and stable game services, create a positive game environment inside and outside the game, and work with us to bring our games back to national server players. We will share new developments with you in the future.

Unfortunately, NetEase does not want to extend the game service for six months based on the existing cooperation terms while we are looking for a new partner, so that everyone can continue to play during this period. But we will not give up because of this, and we will still do our best for all of you. We hope members will understand that the matter is not over yet. We will still strive to find national service partners with common beliefs.

We will try our best to share the relevant progress with you now and in the future.

Thank you for reading here, and I hope you will understand: no matter in the coming year of the Rabbit or in the future, we and every Blizzard colleague will not change our mind to the national service players.
