SSD will be used for real-time storage and reading of hot data (Hot Data, instant access) applications in the future, while large-capacity enterprise SSD has a high contribution to ASP. 8TB and 16TB SSD, for example, cost about US $1000 to 2000, which is regarded by suppliers as a new way to contribute revenue and profits.

According to different system architectures, a server often carries hundreds of enterprise-level SSD, which consumes a large amount of NAND Flash. The market expects that the storage capacity of servers carrying NAND on a single machine is expected to increase by 20% in 2023, accounting for more than 2526% of the overall demand, and may even surpass mobile phones to become the largest application market.

Groupon and Seagate announced as strategic partners in the second quarter of 2022 and carried out sample certification after the product was released in the third quarter. According to the process, the verification will take more than 3 to 6 months, and the products will be shipped one after another.

Groupon has previously set up a system Integration and Technology Research and Development Center (SIE) in Broomfield to be close to local enterprise-level SSD customers and partners and demonstrate its determination to enter the first-tier battlefield of enterprise storage.

The market estimates that through the supply of SSD modules in groups, with Seagate's sales channels and machine customers, the proportion of enterprise-level SSD in clusters is expected to reach 510% in 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that Groupon's annual revenue in 2022 reached NT $60.256 billion (currently about 13.317 billion yuan), down 3.7% from a year earlier, the second highest on record. Among them, in 2022, total shipments of PCIe SSD control chips increased by more than 14% a year, and total shipments of industrial regulation control chips increased by 33% a year, also reaching a record high for the same period in history.
