Tesla announced on the social platform last month that his 4680 battery team at the Fremont superfactory in California had produced 868000 lithium-ion battery batteries in nearly a week, capable of assembling more than 1000 electric vehicles.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla released a 4680 battery with a diameter of 46 mm and a height of 80 mm in September 2020, which aims to significantly increase mileage and reduce production costs. Compared with the 2170 battery, the single energy of the 4680 battery is increased by 5 times, and the vehicle mileage can be increased by 16%. Tesla also said at the time, "in the future, with the improvement of battery materials and car design, the mileage will be increased by 56% and the production cost will be reduced by 54%."

In fact, Tesla CEO Musk revealed at Tesla's 2022 shareholders' meeting in August last year that the 4680 battery is expected to achieve high productivity by the end of 2022.
