On Twitter, Reddit, MacRumors forums and the Apple support website, users reported an unusually high number of errors and poor system performance after the recent iOS 16 update. According to users, these issues cover a wide range of issues, including Spotlight search failures, keyboard not present in applications, power consumption too fast, camera application freezes, focus mode problems, Apple Music application errors, HomeKit accessories not working, and CarPlay failures.

On Reddit, users say the application may freeze after it is opened or crash completely when it is used. One of the users said: "this started after the update to iOS 16.2. I was using an application (on any application) and the application froze for a few seconds."

Users also reported that problems with Home applications persisted after the iOS 16. 2 update. A new feature of this update is a comprehensive change to the architecture of the Home application. Apple announced a new architecture in June, promising faster and more reliable HomeKit performance. However, after the release of the new app, users reported that the attachment did not work, forcing Apple to withdraw the update in December, but the problem persisted in iOS 16.2.

User reports show that the problem is not limited to any particular iPhone model, and even users of the latest iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have encountered problems, including a long-standing problem of delays when users slide up and close an app.
