According to the East Asia Daily, LG Innotek has successfully won an order for camera modules for Tesla electric pickup truck Cybertruck with a supply period of more than three years, with a maximum order size of 1.5 trillion won.

According to reports, the contract was actually officially signed on December 30 last year. Last June, it was reported that LG Innotek and a foreign company participated in the tender for the supply of camera modules, but Samsung Electric also participated in the tender, and the final results are now known.

In fact, Tesla has been trying to diversify his key parts suppliers in recent years, while LG Innotek has been working with the company since it supplied Tesla with a small number of car cameras in 2021 and has become an official parts supplier by getting registered before a big deal.

According to CTOnews.com, founded in 1970, LG Innotek is the first comprehensive electronic accessories company in South Korea, and has developed into a global material and accessories company that leads the global market. it is currently involved in the core materials and accessories in the fields of mobile, display, semiconductor, automobile and Internet of things.

A person in the auto parts industry pointed out that the unit price of a camera module is generally no more than 10,000 won, and even for high-tech products, it will not exceed 15000 won. Tesla, for example, installed eight cameras in Model 3 and Model Y to achieve semi-autopilot, a pure visual solution for Tesla push.
