Recently, the China Consumer Association commissioned the China Theil Laboratory of the China Institute of Information and Communications to conduct a comparative test on some brand charging data lines sold in the market.

China Consumer Association selected 46 samples, 46 charging data line samples all claim to support fast charging. Among the 46 samples, 39 brands are marked with brand names, involving 20 brands, including Bulls, vivo, Beth, Rome, Green Union, Samsung, OPPO, Pinsheng, Huawei, Xiaomi, Glory, Apple and other well-known brands. There are 7 samples without brand name, 6 of which only have simple packaging and no sales packaging.

The results show that many charging lines such as Pinsheng, Anke, Beth and so on perform poorly in terms of electrical safety and hardware reliability, and there are some hidden dangers.

This comparison test mainly tests and compares the electrical safety and hardware reliability of the charging data line. The electrical safety project involves the fireproof (flame retardant) performance, voltage drop performance, voltage resistance and insulation performance of the charging data line. The hardware reliability project involves 4 items, such as interface insertion force and life, bending resistance, corrosion resistance (salt spray) and thrust (interface side stress) performance of the charging data line.

The test standard of this comparative test is not a national compulsory standard, the purpose of the comparative test is to compare the differences and advantages and disadvantages of product performance, not to judge whether the product is qualified or not, and to provide objective product information for consumers. help consumers choose safer and more durable products and safeguard consumers' right to know and choose.

The test results showed that 14 samples performed well in all 8 tests, including 13 with a unit price of more than 20 yuan and 1 with a unit price of less than 20 yuan. 24 samples showed good flame retardancy, while the other 22 failed the flame retardant test and failed. Among them, 22 products such as Anke (model A8622), Pinsheng (model LS-AL06-2000) and Beth (model CAMRD-B01) have poor flame retardant ability.

The 12 samples did not perform well in the pressure drop test, with a maximum pressure drop of 2310 millivolts on the data line marked "Ankeyou / Tyra Feng" at a price of only 2.14 yuan. If the voltage drop is too high, it will easily lead to excessive power loss in the charging process, charging too slowly, and may even cause overheating and lead to safety risks.

The performance of 8 samples is not ideal, and the insertion durability is not good, or the socket is too tight or too loose, which is not conducive to the use and protection of equipment safety, involving samples such as Anke (model A8432), TAFIQ (model TFK001), Beth (model CAMRD-B01), Green Union (model US155), O'Leison (model MS-PD020) and so on. After the plug-in test, 3 samples failed the voltage test, indicating that the performance is damaged and can not be used normally, and the plug-and-pull durability is not good. It involves 3 samples, such as vivo (model BK-C-19), Pinsheng (model TC-FC-1000) and CHIJIE (model HWSJX01).

Nearly half of the samples have weak corrosion resistance, including Pinsheng (model TC-FC-1000), bull (model GN-J81N), Anke (model A8432) and other brand products.

The bending resistance of 9 samples is poor, including Pinsheng (model TC-FC-1000), Beth (model CAMRD-B01), Pinsheng (model LS-AL06-1200) and so on. This kind of product is not suitable for areas with high air salinity.

In the thrust test of 13 kinds of samples (interface side stress), the port was deformed under compression, and the sample with the nominal brand of Pinsheng (model TC-FC-1000) fell off completely in the test. The charging function of the sample whose brand name is Anke (model A8622) is invalid after the test.

Among them, 14 samples, such as Samsung EP-TA800, Apple A2561 and Bull GNV-J7F10, performed well in all the test projects.

The China Consumer Association reminds consumers to try their best to look at brands when buying and using data cables. Try to buy authentic data lines produced by well-known manufacturers. Well-known manufacturers have high internal quality control from the selection of wire cores, insulation coats, plugs and other materials to the production of finished products, and the cost price will not be a few yuan for free delivery. Generally speaking, its production process will be better than that of miscellaneous brand enterprises.

Look at the material. In general, the covering material of the data cable will be written on the outer package of the data line. PVC and TPE are common coating materials for data lines. PVC is the abbreviation of PVC, which has high flame retardancy and good mechanical properties. TPE is a thermoplastic material with good aging resistance.

Look at the specifications. Pay attention to the current value of the product label and select the data line that matches the specification of the charging head. The charging head does not match the specifications of the data line, which may cause abnormal heating of wires and joints and material aging.

Update old data lines in time. Use frequency and habits will affect the life of the charging data line, consumers should observe the reaction speed when charging, as well as the charging success rate to determine whether the data line has aging, once found that the performance decline, should be replaced in time.

If the coat of the charging data line has been damaged, the new line should be replaced as soon as possible.

If the charging line is plugged into the electrical equipment, there is poor contact or serious heating during the charging process, the new line should be replaced as soon as possible.
