CTOnews.com, January 16, according to the website of the State-owned assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the H260-18 MW offshore wind turbine, led by China Shipbuilding Group and independently developed by China Shipbuilding, with the largest unit power and the largest diameter of wind turbines in the world, has recently been successfully developed in the Offshore Wind Power Industry Park of Dongying Economic Development Zone, Shandong Province.

Data show that the offline H260-18 megawatt offshore wind turbine, the impeller sweep area of about 53000 square meters, equivalent to the area of seven standard football fields.

At full wind speed, each turn can generate 44.8 kilowatt-hours of electricity, and a single unit can output more than 7400 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of 40,000 families of three, reduce coal consumption by 25000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 61000 tons. It has a remarkable effect of energy saving and emission reduction.

CTOnews.com learned that China Shipbuilding Group said that H260-18 MW offshore wind turbines were developed by China Shipboard based on the whole industry chain, adopting a medium-speed integration scheme and achieving breakthroughs in a number of key technologies. In the aspect of intelligent control technology, the software and hardware system of the first domestic offshore wind turbine main control system of programmable logic controller (PLC) is developed, which solves the problem of "choking" of wind power main control system.

At present, the localization rate of H260-18 megawatt units has reached more than 80%. Blades, gearboxes, yaw gearboxes, main bearings, variable propeller bearings and other components are designed and produced by enterprises in China Shipbuilding Group, and the localization rate is higher than 99%.
