First, the biggest problem is image output.

Windows SDK 2023 is not compatible with monitors that support HDR. Coincidentally, the monitors used in Windows Central evaluation all support HDR, so in the evaluation process, we have no choice but to find monitors that do not support HDR for testing.

The media said that after connecting to the Huawei Mateview monitor, the "Windows Development Kit 2023" will have a complete distortion of the image and the color contrast problem is very bad. The light colors displayed on the screen will be mixed together, making it difficult to read when browsing the web or other light-colored interfaces.

After turning off the HDR function, the screen refresh rate still can not return to normal when the refresh rate is switched to 60Hz, and the color problem is finally solved after the refresh rate is switched to 30Hz, but this has a great impact on the actual experience.

Windows Central tested on a monitor that does not support HDR and found that "Windows SDK 2023" displays correctly.

The second problem is the software problem.

Applications such as XSplit cannot be simulated. Even some applications that are said to have been compiled for Windows on ARM cannot run immediately. In the evaluation, Windows Central found that the Creative Suite of Adobe would make an error when loading.

However, this problem can be fixed by installing VC Runtime. It is just that Microsoft officials have not clearly told the reason why the application cannot be loaded, and many developers need to explore and find relevant information on their own.
