On December 26, 2022, the China Eastern C919 aircraft began a 100-hour verification flight. Before arriving in Qingdao, the C919 plane had carried out intensive verification flights in five cities and six airports, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an and Haikou. It is understood that after the completion of the route verification flight of the C919, the C919 is expected to be officially put into commercial passenger operation in the spring of 2023. At that time, C919 will appear on routes such as Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

It belongs to the single-channel 150th-seat class, with a standard seating capacity of 168. it can hold up to 190seats, and is called "medium-and short-range twin-engine narrow-body civil transport aircraft".
