This launch is the 462nd launch of the long March series of carrier rockets. This week, the long March series of carrier rockets developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have been launched four times, all of which have been successful. This mission is the second launch mission of the Chang Erding rocket this year.

The long March 2d carrier rocket used in this launch is a two-stage liquid carrier rocket developed by the eighth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group, which is mainly used to carry out low-earth orbit satellite launch missions. The 700km sun synchronous orbit has a carrying capacity of 1300 kg.

CTOnews.com learned that the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said that in order to meet the needs of the domestic commercial satellite launch market, the Great Wall Company, which belongs to the Aerospace Science and Technology Group, launched the "long March Express" launch brand. This launch is based on the long March II-D rocket launch service contract for Qilu-2 satellite and Qilu-3 satellite project signed between Great Wall Company and Shandong Industrial Technology Research Institute, as well as the launch service contract signed with six commercial aerospace companies and scientific research institutions. This is also the third time that Great Wall has used the "shared rocket" carpool launch mode to provide launch services to domestic commercial space customers.

According to reports, Qilu-2 satellite and Qilu-3 satellite are high-score agile optical satellites and wide-width optical satellites, respectively, carrying optical imaging earth observation payloads, which are mainly used for earth observation in the fields of land and resources, agriculture and forestry, environmental protection monitoring, transportation, disaster prevention and mitigation, and serve the development of the space information industry in Shandong Province and the conversion of new and old kinetic energy. At the same time, the satellite has the ability of inter-satellite laser communication, and combined with the launched Qilu-1, it can complete the inter-satellite cooperation task.

Among the satellites carried and launched this time, the intelligent remote sensing satellite 01 is a lightweight and miniaturized intelligent remote sensing satellite independently developed by the Fifth Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology Group. The satellite payload is a high-resolution video camera, which has the characteristics of multi-mode optical imaging, high-performance real-time processing, open software platform, on-orbit intelligent planning, on-orbit intelligent processing, flexible App loading and so on.
