CTOnews.com January 15, the KDE project team today released an update to KDE Frameworks 5.102. The most noteworthy improvement in this update is the support for transferring files larger than 2GB size in KDE Connect applications.

CTOnews.com mini-class: the KDE Connect app is an application that allows users to transfer files between mobile devices and computers. It also supports functions such as receiving notifications and controlling media players.

Another noteworthy improvement in KDE Frameworks 5.102 is the modification keys such as Meta Key. This change will appear in the upcoming KDE Plasma 5.27 desktop environment series, and KDE developers hope to replace the strange old modifier key handling in KWin windows and composite managers, so that you can assign modifier keys directly to Kickoff or Overview.

The KDE Frameworks 5.102 update also supports access to files using its full file path in the directory selector field of the Open dialog box. "Always use Touch Mode" is supported during restart; in Kirigami-based applications, the side drawer can be closed by using the Esc key or by clicking on an empty area in the view.

KDE Frameworks 5.102 also improves Plasma Wayland sessions and fixes several paste-related problems.
