CTOnews.com, January 14, Kingston launched the first hardware encrypted USB-C interface flash drive of the Kingston IronKey series on CES this year, model Vault Privacy 50C (IKVP50C).

Kingston said that the security of employees telecommuting during the epidemic has become a major issue in corporate IT management. In response to this demand, Kingston launched the Vault Privacy 50C (IKVP50C), the first hardware encrypted Type-C USB flash drive in the Kingston IronKey series, to prevent potential security vulnerabilities in hardware.

According to reports, this flash drive has FIPS 197certification and XTS-AES 256bit hardware encryption technology, which can effectively resist BadUSB attacks and violent attacks (Brute Force attacks). In addition, Vault Privacy 50 supports complex mode (Complex) and passphrase mode (Passphrase), and users can use numeric PIN, sentences, and word lists to set passwords.

The price and launch date of the Vault Privacy 50C (IKVP50C) have not yet been announced.
