Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

5.674 million vehicles, an increase of 90% over the same period last year.

This is the report card of new energy passenger cars in 2022. According to the Federation of passengers, the retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles in 2022 are 5.674 million, a net increase of 2.68 million over 2021.

This figure is enough to prove that the new energy vehicle market is beginning to break out, with an annual penetration rate of more than 27%.

The entire passenger car market is also driven by new energy vehicles, with retail sales of 20.543 million passenger cars in 2022, an increase of 1.9 percent over the same period last year, with a net increase of 386000 vehicles. Obviously, without new energy vehicles, the passenger car market will be negative again in 2022.

Behind the sharp increase in the number of new energy vehicles and the decline in fuel vehicles is the great change in the ranking of car companies.

As can be seen from this table, most of the traditional car companies that rely on fuel cars have failed to meet their sales targets. However, BYD outperformed itself, not only overcompleting the KPI, but also winning the annual sales title.

The new energy vehicle market is also surging undercurrent. Although BYD has brought new energy into the fire, most car companies are still in a state of falling short of their goals.

Where did the net increase of 2.68 million new energy vehicles go?

At the beginning of a new era in December 2022, BYD delivered 235200 vehicles a month, a figure that almost all new power car companies can't achieve in a year.

Source: BYD delivered 1.8624 million passenger cars in 2022, an increase of 155.1% over the same period last year.

FAW-Volkswagen, which has won the top spot in the domestic passenger car market for three years in a row, has retail sales of 1.779 million vehicles in 2022, basically the same as in 2021, according to the Federation of passengers.

Source: according to FIFA data, BYD surpassed FAW-Volkswagen to become the top seller in China's passenger car market in 2022, which is not only the first time in BYD's history, but also the first time for a Chinese brand.

BYD's overtaking of FAW-Volkswagen also means that the firm share of joint venture brands begins to loosen, and Chinese brands begin to emerge as a new force in the era of new energy vehicles, and launch a general attack on the joint venture camp that has been in place for many years.

Looking back on this year, BYD's sales are like riding a rocket. At the beginning of 2022, BYD set a target of 1.2 million vehicles, which many people thought was very radical. after all, BYD sold only 730000 vehicles in 2021, a difference of 470000, equivalent to more than half of its sales in 2021.

BYD's sales soared when it banned the sale of fuel cars in March last year, which gave BYD confidence and then raised its sales target to 1.5 million. At present, it is still over-completed, exceeding 1.8 million vehicles.

BYD's sales in 2022 are 15 times that of Weilai, 14 times of ideal, and 17 times of zero running.

Source: BYD in addition to BYD, GAC Ean has also begun to emerge in the new energy market. After falling behind slightly in November, December sales exceeded 30,000 to 30007 vehicles, up 107 per cent from a year earlier. For the whole of 2022, GAC Ean's cumulative sales reached 271000 vehicles, an increase of 126% over the same period last year, setting a new record for sales growth.

Source: with the growth of GAC's sales volume, Ean is full of confidence in 2023 and has set a sales target of 500000 vehicles in 2023.

In the new power camp, after sales in November 2022, Nezha and polar krypton have KPI completion rates of 96% and 95%, making them the most promising new forces to complete KPI.

Nezha delivered 15072 cars in November, ranking first among the new forces, but in December, it suddenly fell behind, delivering only 7795 cars, down 23% from the same period last year and 48% from the previous month, nearly halving.

Fortunately, sales have been good in 2022. Nezha delivered a total of 152073 vehicles from January to December, reaching the target of 150000 vehicles.

Source: in November, Naga's sales have begun to grow sluggishly. Although it ranks first among the new forces, it has dropped by 16.3% month-on-month, which is also due to the excessively high proportion of Nahu's B-end sales.

In addition to Nashi, polar krypton also performed well, with delivery of 11337 vehicles in December, which was basically the same as sales in November, with a year-on-year increase of 198.7%. The annual delivery of 71941 vehicles in 2022 has also achieved the delivery target of 70,000 vehicles.

Source: polar krypton cars are not the only four new energy car companies that have exceeded their targets, but also the penetration of new energy vehicles in the market.

In early 2022, some experts predicted that the penetration rate of new energy in the market is expected to reach 25%. According to the Federation of passengers, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles has exceeded 30% in September.

According to the Federation of passengers, the wholesale penetration rate of new energy vehicle manufacturers reached 33.7% in December, up 12 percentage points from 21.3% in December 2021.

02, can not achieve the goal, not humiliating in addition to the above several car companies can have a good year, the sales of many enterprises are still not good enough.

As a "dark horse" alongside Nezha, Zero is still expected to achieve its goal, but Zero began to fall behind in December, selling only 8493 vehicles, with annual delivery of 111168 vehicles and a sales target of 120000 vehicles in 2022. Zero running finally missed the target with a completion rate of 92%.

In fact, in December alone, ideal performed best among the new forces, with monthly sales exceeding 20,000 for the first time, an increase of 50.7% over the same period last year. Ideal's L9 and L8 both exceeded 10,000, but the good results in December could not save the ideal data for the whole year.

From January to December, the ideal cumulative delivery is 133246 vehicles, an increase of 47.2% over the same period last year, which is still a long way from the sales target of 200000.

Source: ideal is similar to ideal. Sales in December were 15815, a monthly high, up 50.8% over the same period last year. Among them, the second generation technology platforms ET7, ES7 and ET5 all had a bumper harvest, reaching 13127, accounting for 83% of the total deliveries in that month. In 2022, a total of 122486 new cars were delivered, an increase of 34% over the same period last year.

But it also failed to meet the sales target of 150000, with a completion rate of 82 per cent.

The former "Wei Xiaoli" troika, Xiaopeng, has been left behind. In December, sales barely caught up with the team, returning to 10,000 and delivering 11292, an increase of 94% month-on-month to 120757 in January-December, an increase of 23% over the same period last year.

Contrary to BYD's goal of increasing sales halfway, Xiaopeng has long abandoned its sales target of 25-350000 vehicles set at the beginning of 2022 to reduce that number to 170000, but it has halved in a few months, leaving Xiaopeng's target completion rate of only 71%.

Source: Xiaopeng is not only these new players, but also difficult for the second generation of entrepreneurs.

Lantu Automobile delivered 19400 new cars for the whole year. At that time, Lantu Automobile CEO set a high-profile target of 46000 vehicles. In the middle of the year, due to Lantu's poor sales, the target for the whole year was timely adjusted to 31000 vehicles, challenging 37000 vehicles. Even so, it failed to meet the standard.

Also boast of Haikou is BAIC, which has an annual sales target of 100000 vehicles, including 40,000 polar foxes, and strive to hit 300000 vehicles in the future. Polar Fox, which has a heavy responsibility, has so far failed to find its December sales, but 1MUI sold only 13000 vehicles in November, completing only 30% of the sales target set at the beginning of the year.

In addition, some established players have also been hit in the face.

Tesla, for example, delivered 1.31 million vehicles in 2022, but finally failed to meet the delivery target of 1.5 million vehicles.

Source: not only did Tesla's sales fall short of expectations, but his stock price also began to plummet. Musk's wealth shrank and even set a Guinness World record.

In order to sell the car, Tesla had to reduce the price, but after the price reduction, it was the rights protection of the big wave of old car owners.

In the traditional car company camp, Geely, SAIC, Chery and so on, have not achieved the goal. So in 2022, it will be the norm and there will be no shame.

How about 2003 and 2023? Although the new energy market continues to expand in 2022, cars are really not easy to sell.

New energy car companies are complaining about the global epidemic and rising raw material prices, which has also become a reason and excuse for some car companies to sell poorly. However, with the withdrawal of new energy subsidies from the market, new energy vehicles are really capable.

There are different predictions for the judgment of the new energy vehicle market.

Auto executives are generally less confident about the popularity of all-electric vehicles in the US and around the world by 2030 than in 2021, according to KPMG, an accounting and consulting firm. In the survey, auto executives estimated that between 10% and 40% of new electric cars were sold worldwide in 2023, down from 20% to 70% a year ago.

The China Automobile Association predicts that passenger car sales will be 23.5 million in 2022, an increase of 9.4% over the same period last year. passenger car sales (including exports) in 2023, an increase of 1.3% over the same period last year. Judging from this figure, there is little difference between 2023 and 2022. If exports continue to grow, then domestic passenger car sales may be flat or decline.

Not only are the market forecasts for 2023 poor, but even some automakers have automatically lowered their sales targets.

Great Wall lowered its 2023 sales target to 1.6 million from 2.8 million and its net profit target to 6 billion from 11.5 billion.

This also means that the profitability of car companies will decline in the new year.

Judging from the performance of the joint venture in 2022, it is bound to be a year of decline. Dongfeng Nissan's cumulative sales in 2022 were 1.045 million, although it has been eight consecutive years of total sales of more than 1m vehicles, but down 8 per cent from 1.13 million in 2021.

And Dongfeng Motor doesn't expect much in 2023, cutting 500000 of its 4 million sales in 2022 and setting a target of 3.5 million.

Source: Dongfeng Motor, of course, is optimistic about the market. The Federation predicts that the total sales of passenger cars will reach 23.5 million in the next 2023. In 2023, wholesale sales depended on the inertia increase of passenger car exports, and manufacturers' wholesale sales increased by 1%. The wholesale of conventional fuel vehicles is expected to be 15.1 million, down 10 per cent from the same period last year. The penetration rate of new energy vehicles will continue to increase rapidly in the future. The team of experts predicted that 8.5 million new energy passenger vehicles will be sold in 2023, and the penetration rate will reach 36% in 2023.

Hyundai said it had set a global sales target of 4.32 million vehicles in 2023, up about 8 per cent from its target of 4.01 million vehicles in 2022.

GAC GROUP is also very optimistic about the market, of course, most of the confidence should come from GAC Ean, so the sales target for 2023 has increased by 10%.

According to news from BYD's core supplier, BYD has set itself a target of 5 million vehicles in 2023, and then Wang Chuanfu predicted in the company's conference call that China's new energy market will be 9 million to 10 million vehicles in 2023, of which BYD plans to sell 4 million vehicles.

However, BYD is very reserved, to the news, the official response said that due to the impact of the epidemic, there are many uncertainties in the market, consumer demand and supply chain system, so it is difficult for the company to judge the 2023 sales target.

Although BYD is half covered up, according to the current sales trend, sales will only increase in 2023.

In addition to BYD, Weilai has also set up a Flag for itself. Li Bin judged that the new energy car market will have a pressure period in the first half of 2023, and the market will gradually recover from May next year, and lock in a sales target of 200000, surpassing Lexus.

Source: in fact, except for the automobile industry, many Vs are not optimistic about 2023. For example, Cao Dewang said that 2023 is the real test time, while Zhang Ying, managing partner of Matrix Partners China Chuangshi, said that in 2023, not only overcome difficulties but also get used to difficulties.

In any case, 2023 may not go well, and it is time for car companies to show their real skills to attract the public.
