The change of global TV ODM factory shipments from 2020 to 2022, unit: one million units below is the analysis of the characteristics of global TV ODM pattern in 2022.

Within the scope of statistics, the total number of shipments of the top 10 professional contract factories in the world (excluding four brand-owned factories) was 76.168 million, an increase of 0.6% over 2021, accounting for 75.7% of the total global contract manufacturing.

The ten professional contract factories go up and down by half. Among them, MOKA (Maojia) and BOE VT (Video), respectively, as representative factories with stable brand outlets and panel resources, have significant core competitiveness. The two major factories have increased by 25.8% and 40% over the same period last year, ranking among the top two professional contract manufacturers of TOP10.

TPV (TPV) ranks firmly at the top of the list for the whole year, shipping 13.57 million units. However, as an absolute head manufacturer, its performance fell short of expectations, down 4.2% from the same period last year. Shipments of its own brands Philips (Philips) and AOC account for more than 40% of its factories. Philips's strategic expansion in the European market was not smooth in 2022, with shipments falling by about 7 per cent year-on-year. At the same time, Bestbuy and Vizio, both major customers, are down about 40 per cent from 2021. Hisense's contract manufacturing orders doubled in 2022, becoming the largest customer after its own brand, accounting for 13%. It is estimated that TPV shipments in the first quarter of 2023 will be about 2.8 million units, which may decline by 20% compared with the same period last year.

MOKA (Maojia) shipped more than 12 million units in the whole year, rising 2 places to second place, a sharp increase of 25.8% over the same period last year. In the second half of 2022, factory shipments were rare and stable, maintaining millions of goods for six consecutive months. The obvious volume of the group's own brand TCL and overseas customer Panasonic became the main contribution of its rise that year.

Foxconn (Foxconn) ranks third among professional contract manufacturers in shipments for the year, with shipments of 8.89 million units, down more than 10 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, Sharp shipped about 4.1 million units and Sony shipped about 4.5 million units. The over-concentration of the customer base has led to a lack of flexibility in the context of the decline in the global end market.

AMTC (Zhaochi) ranks fourth in professional contract factories, shipping about 8.5 million units in the whole year, down nearly 20 per cent from a year earlier. It is mainly in overseas markets, and poor demand has seriously affected the performance of the year.

BOE VT (video) shipped slightly more than 8.2 million units, a substantial increase of more than 40% over the same period last year, and advanced into the top five of professional foundry shipments. The main customer structure includes overseas Samsung, Vizio, LG, Bestbuy and domestic Xiaomi, Hisense and Huawei. Among them, the main increase comes from Xiaomi, the largest customer, whose share of shipments has increased from about 30% in 2021 to nearly 40% in 2022. Vizio and LG have doubled their growth. It is worth noting that in 2022, VT cut into the intelligent projection contract manufacturing business and realized shipments to millet and nuts; coupled with its ODM business such as monitors and tablets, it will help the factory as a whole to generate more than 30 billion revenue in 2023.

KTC shipped about 7 million units in the whole year, ranking sixth among professional contract manufacturers, down about 10 per cent. Customers in Central and East Africa and Latin America grew more year-on-year, making up for the decline in shipments elsewhere. Its customer base is relatively scattered, Xiaomi, Fine Star, Brazil Mundell, Panama GRUPO KAYVE are some of its main customers.

HKC (Huike) shipped about 5.2 million units, ranking seventh in professional contract factories. The panel business customer base within the group is relatively complete, and the panel price settlement is relatively market-oriented, which contributes a lot to its whole ODM business, and the next growth potential is worthy of attention.

Among other professional contract manufacturers, there are nearly 5 million Express Luck (color news), a substantial increase of more than 20%. Innolux (Mass Entrepreneurship) shipped about 3.1 million units in the whole year, a sharp drop of more than 20% compared with the same period last year, a sharp decline in performance and is withdrawing from the ranks of leading manufacturers.

2022 global professional TV ODM factory shipping ranking, unit: millions note: TV ODM ranking does not include Changhong, Skyworth, Konka, Hisense four own factories CTOnews.com learned that for the four major brands of their own factories, shipments have achieved good growth throughout the year. Changhong OEM shipped about 9.1 million units, and it began to add domestic contract manufacturing in 2021, that is, more than one million items in that year; self-owned brands other than OEM shipped about 3 million units in 2022, up more than 15% from the same period last year.

In addition, Skyworth OEM shipped nearly 7 million units, Konka OEM shipped about 2.7 million units, and Hisense OEM shipped about 1.3 million units.
