In recent years, with the increasing requirements of various applications of Bluetooth chips for power consumption, sensitivity, computing performance, protocol support, and cost, 22nm has become an important process node for dual-mode Bluetooth chips. Based on years of RF technology accumulation, Ruicheng Micro has successfully developed dual-mode Bluetooth RF IP in 22nm process, which is suitable for Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth slightly, smart watch, smart home appliance, wireless communication, industrial control and other Internet of Things application scenarios.

The 22nm dual-mode Bluetooth RF IP launched by Ruichengwei is compatible with Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy standards and can support the latest Bluetooth version 5.3 protocol. In receive mode, receive power consumption is less than 9.4mW (with third-party modem), and-97dBm sensitivity is achieved in 1Mbps Bluetooth Low Energy mode.

The IP integrates digital algorithms such as IQ mismatch calibration, DC offset cancellation, and high-speed ADC / DAC analog front-end circuitry to achieve consistent RF performance across process corners. At the same time, the IP realizes the simplification and optimization of the external components (BOM) of the chip, further reducing the system cost.

The IP has an area as low as 0.63mm² (including I / O and IP digital control logic units), allowing chip manufacturers to gain a more competitive cost advantage. CTOnews.com understands that at present, the RF IP has been tested and verified by the current chip, and has been adopted by customers.
